Welcome to the home Planet of Joe Netherworld Though not born Joe Netherworld I inherited the title after years of being refereed to as "Joe the guy who owns Netherworld, you know the jewelry and models and such..." It became shortened to "Joe Netherworld" and so it remains. It does sum up my whole life and aesthetic. My entire life has been immersed in various Dark diversions that evolved into my current incarnation and business. I have been approaching my heroes through out my career, let it be stated that my Heroes are not those of the typical young American: Vincent Price, William S. Burroughs, Anton LaVey and Clive Barker to name a few. These people have shaped my entire life and I have looked to them for inspiration and approval. I have never been too star struck with the modern world but these individuals represent my deepest and most basic desires. All have given me praise and approval and I hold this as supreme validation of my work... My style has always been ahead of the curve creating Vampire jewelry well before the Goth explosion of the late '90's... and being involved in the Church of Satan before Marilyn Manson made it the horror of suburban parents again. I really like Marilyn and that's why I did a model kit of him before any one else thought to do it. I have been called weird by John Waters and disturbing by Paul Booth. I have made it a point to only work with people I respect and enjoy. I have produced 2 CD covers for Voltaire because I love his work... Same thing for Biohazard, they are the best at what they do.

Though I sculpt, paint and produce prototypes for the toy industry, my main focus is set and prop design and art direction.
